How does depth psychology differ from other modalities? How are its premises and methods of use to all of us, whether in therapy or not? During this workshop, three principles will be explained: it’s not about what it’s about; what you see is a compensation for what you don’t see; and, it’s all metaphor. Examples for each will be for discovery and interpretation of our mythopoetic psyche.

Course Objectives:
1. Learn how “depth psychology” differs from other modalities.
2. Explore the essential precepts of depth psychology.
3. Learn the mythopoetic nature of the human psyche.
4. Gain valuable tools for insight into personal and clinical material.
5. Utilize the lens of depth psychology to interpret social patterns.
