Biography

Lenice has lived in Sarasota, Florida for 15 years and earned her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida. She is a certified dementia practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, and is also a registered clinical social work intern in pursuit of her License in Clinical Social Work. Lenice currently works as a program coordinator for Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the Suncoast, providing education, case management, individual counseling, and group counseling for individuals recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias, as well as family caregivers.

Cheryl is a licensed clinical social worker and certified dementia practitioner. She has worked in the behavioral health field for over 30 years. Originally from New York State, Cheryl began her career working in a residential program providing therapeutic support to people with chronic mental health issues. She then worked as a psychotherapist in an intensive outpatient partial hospitalization program, and was the clinical coordinator for a 40 bed inpatient behavioral health facility. Upon moving to Florida, Cheryl's focus has been working with caregivers who care for loved ones with cognitive change, and with people who have recently been diagnosed with cognitive change. Cheryl is currently the clinical specialist at Jewish Family and Children's Service of the Suncoast’s Alzheimer Support and Education Network Program. Her therapeutic focus is supporting and empowering individuals, families and groups.
